World Pancreatic Cancer Day is taking place on November 19. In association with the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC), Servier is committed in the fight against one of the deadliest cancers in the world. Through a new campaign “It’s About Time”, WPCC and Servier (sponsors of the campaign) aim to raise awareness among the general public to better recognize the symptoms and detect the first signs of the disease.

The pancreas is a gland located in the abdomen, behind the stomach and in front of the spine. It has two important functions: the production of digestive enzymes that are released into the intestine and the production of insulin, which regulates the absorption of sugar into the body’s cells.
