Servier and Egis* employees in Ukraine, their families and the Ukrainian population have been confronted with the reality of war for several weeks. Servier Group’s priority is to do everything possible to ensure the safety of its teams and their families who are located in Ukrainian territory.
The Group’s employees have shown great solidarity with their Ukrainian colleagues.
From the very first days, the Group’s management and subsidiaries in the countries bordering Ukraine launched into action: reception facilities were made available to employees who remained in the country in areas still protected from the conflicts. Those who chose to leave were welcomed by Servier employees from neighboring countries as soon as they crossed the borders and then accommodated in reception centers or in the families of Group employees.
Humanitarian aid
Servier is also mobilizing through various humanitarian assistance and relief channels to help the Ukrainian population.
On March 4th, a “Solidarity Fund for Ukraine” with the amount of €700,000 was created. A solidarity fund drive has also begun, enabling employees to make personal donations to the fund. All donations will contribute to the fund set up by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
In order to encourage this show of solidarity, the Executive Committee matches the donations made by Servier employees: for every euro paid by an employee, one euro will be contributed by the Group.
In addition, the Group, through its numerous subsidiaries, is organizing collections drives (food, clothing, school supplies, toys, etc.) and continues to organize shipments of medicines and emergency kits to support the Ukrainian population.
*Egis is the subsidiary of Servier’s generics division which operates in Central and Eastern Europe. It has more than 100 employees in Ukraine
