Shanghai ranking: Paris-Saclay University has risen to 13th place!

Each year, the Shanghai ranking lists the best universities in the world. For this 2021 edition, the Paris-Saclay University has moved up one place in comparison with the 2020 ranking, in which it appeared for the first time.

This is excellent news for Servier, which, with the Servier Paris-Saclay R&D Institute, will bring together the research and development activities of its five French sites at this interdisciplinary innovation campus by 2023. Eventually, 1,500 Servier employees will be located there.

This 13th rank validates Servier’s decision to merge its R&D activities within this cluster and its desire to strengthen its partnerships with local private and academic players, including the Paris-Saclay University. The future R&D Institute represents a major step for the Group to conduct a more open, dynamic, and collaborative approach to research for the benefit of patients.

Founded at the end of 2019, the University of Paris-Saclay brings together ten universities, four top schools  (AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, Ecole normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, Institut d’optique graduate school), the Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques, and benefits from a strong partnership with six major research organizations.

With 48,000 students and 9,000 teachers and researchers, the University of Paris-Saclay is recognized above all for its academic excellence in science, and especially in mathematics.
