The SHINEDocs, 70 young researchers from Servier, gathered on Monday, June 17, for the Seedpods Day. Their goal was to “pitch” their ongoing research projects to a multidisciplinary Servier jury under the patronage of Claude Bertrand, Executive Vice President of R&D and Christophe Thurieau, Executive Director – Global Head of Research.
A Day for a Community
On Monday, June 17, the SHINEDocs, young researchers from Servier, organized the Seedpods Day at the Servier R&D institute in Paris-Saclay. It was an opportunity to showcase their research work and highlight the strength of this community, illustrating Servier’s commitment to therapeutic innovation.
The SHINEDocs consist of over 70 PhD students and post-doctoral researchers in France and abroad, working within Servier’s R&D teams or on partnership projects. They represent the future of the Group’s research. Through this program, Servier supports young researchers with tailored events and training.
A Day for Exchange
A full house for the 5th edition of Seedpods Day!
More than 200 collaborators and guests gathered around the SHINEDocs for this day. Over 500 people also followed the event online from different countries. Participants had the opportunity to discover and discuss the Group’s research projects, presented by 45 SHINEDocs. The day also welcomed international guests. Dr. Ivana Jakšić from the University of Belgrade presented a keynote on gender equality in research, and Susan Chase, Vice President of Business Development at BioLabs, shared her insights on the innovation ecosystem.
A Day to Shine a Light on Therapeutic Innovation
The young researchers brilliantly met the flashtalk challenge: only 3 minutes to present years of scientific work in a didactic and dynamic way. Olivier Laureau, President of Servier, noted the excellent quality of the presentations and the teams’ commitment to therapeutic innovation.
