Golden Ticket: Servier supports several start-ups in their drive for therapeutic advancement

On January 23, Spartners by Servier & BioLabs, the start-up incubator at our Research and Development Institute in Paris-Saclay organized the 2nd Golden Ticket awards ceremony. This prestigious award, sponsored by Servier, grants two winning start-ups a year’s accommodation at Spartners by Servier & BioLabs.

This year’s winning start-ups are:

  • Evariste is a TechBio that uses mathematical modelling and AI to identify novel synthetic lethal targets and design small molecule therapeutics
  • Ispiron Biotechnologies tackles today’s manufacturing challenges by offering an innovative alternative to 2000L stainless steel bioreactors with its 25L smart bioreactor platform.

These start-ups will shortly be joining the incubator and will benefit from an environment conducive to innovation and the development of cutting-edge therapeutic solutions. They have access to shared, fully-equipped laboratories, events and the BioLabs network, as well as to Servier’s state-of-the-art laboratories. They will also benefit from a network of mentors and industry experts, as well as the operational resources essential to accelerating the development of their therapeutic innovation.

At Servier, we understand the importance of open innovation. We consider it presents three main advantages—accelerate the speed of research, offer each project an optimal environment in which to thrive, and collaborate with the best partners for each project.

Scientific innovation by supporting biotechs and start-ups

At Servier, we firmly believe that an open approach is the best way to develop innovative therapeutic solutions that meet patients’ needs. That’s why we’re stepping up our initiatives with biotech companies with the sole aim of stimulating scientific innovation.

Each year, we support start-ups to achieve therapeutic progress through several programs:

  • Since 2017, we have been a Gold sponsor of Lab Central, a leading shared lab space for biotechnology start-ups based in the heart of the Boston-Cambridge ecosystem in Massachusetts.
  • We are also a FAST Track partner of the California Life Sciences (CLS) FAST Advisory Program, which is dedicated to providing innovative biotech entrepreneurs with a customized advisory program
  • Servier sponsored Medicen to deliver 5 passes to participate in the BIO International Convention, the world’s foremost biotech meeting place, held in Boston in June 2024.
