From August 29^th to September 1^st, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) will hold its 2020 Congress, the world’s largest conference dedicated to cardiovascular disease, which for the first time this year will be an entirely virtual event.

The ESC, whose mission is to support the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular risks and disease, will bring together cardiologists, physicians, researchers, caregivers, pharmaceutical industries, and other scientific experts from around the globe, to discuss the latest developments and news in this therapeutic area.

Servier has been a major partner of the ESC for many years and will once again be one of the leading pharmaceutical laboratories attending this digital congress. Via its virtual booth, Servier will present the various aspects of its activities for healthcare professionals: promotion, medical affairs and awareness programs, as well as new technologies with a space dedicated to Servier’s e-health division, WeHealth™ Digital Medicine. In an open innovation approach, WeHealth™ Digital Medicine identifies the most promising startups to co-construct innovative and connected solutions.

One of the key items on the agenda will be six Q&A sessions organized by the Medical Affairs team and WeHealth™ Digital Medicine and ten live sessions on the virtual booth organized by the Servier Cardiology franchise, designed to share the very latest news about hypertension, angina, and heart failure.

Servier, in partnership with the International Society of Hypertension, will also be launching a new edition of its Because I Say So international campaign, an initiative designed to raise public awareness on the importance of patients taking blood pressure medicine every day and following their physician’s advice. The aim is to warn people about the serious consequences of not adhering to their treatment, known to be one of the reasons for low rates of blood pressure control among patients with hypertension.
