Servier is committed to the World Diabetes Day!

World Diabetes Day takes place every year on the 14th of November for raising awareness about this disease and to better understand diabetes and how it affects people lives. This day helps people around the world to become aware about the importance of the early diagnosis, management and prevention of the several risks of diabetes for those affected and their families.

Committed for more than 60 years to the fight against diabetes, Servier has positioned itself as a partner with healthcare professionals and diabetic patients for improving management of the disease. On this special day, the Group is launching the second edition of its ACT NOW FOR DIABETES awareness campaign

“Healthcare professionals say that a person can have type 2 diabetes for years without being aware. To help early diagnosis, Servier launched an international survey in 2020 to collect patient insights and concluding 94% of patients with type 2 diabetes experimented symptoms before diagnosis. This means by paying attention to these alerts such as increased thirst, blurry vision and fatigue, patients can be diagnosed earlier. Our Group, as key player in the field of type 2 diabetes, is launching on this awareness day the second edition of the campaign ACTNOWFOR DIABETES to support actively better management for type 2 diabetes.”
