Streaming of the Pasteur-Weizmann scientific conference

On December 9, the scientific video conference organized by the Pasteur-Weizmann Council took place. This Council aims to develop the scientific collaboration between the Pasteur Institute and the Weizmann Institute of Sciences in the context of their biomedical research.

Thanks to the support of many donors, including L’Institut Servier, a specific research program to develop better understanding of the neurological consequences of the coronavirus epidemic has been urgently created: the Neurocovid program.

This program, which will allow the most qualified researchers and the most experienced teams from Pasteur and Weizmann to work together, was presented during this online conference.

Olivier Laureau, President of Servier and “emergency sponsor” of the Neurocovid program, underlined the historic partnership between L’Institut Servier and the Pasteur-Weizmann Council for collaborative research for the benefit of patients.

Did you know?

For more than 45 years, the Conseil Pasteur-Weizmann, has been at the forefront of scientific and medical research. Researchers from Pasteur and Weizmann are at the origin of significant advances in many fields such as cancer, neurological diseases, antibiotic resistance, emerging viruses, etc.

L’Institut Servier has been supporting the Council for nearly 25 years. This partnership is inspired by a common conviction: scientific collaborations are the main drivers of therapeutic innovation.

And since 2000, L’Institut Servier has partnered at the highest level with the Pasteur Institute and the Weizmann Institute of Sciences to award the Pasteur-Weizmann/Servier International Prize every 3 years to a researcher, physician, or scientist, for a discovery or innovation with strong potential for clinical and therapeutic application.
