Focus on innovation: Servier sponsors Paris-Saclay SPRING!

A unique event at the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic innovation clusters, the 2022 edition of Paris-Saclay SPRING will be held on May 12 and 13 at École Polytechnique. It will bring together all players in innovation, research, science and economic development in the Saclay plateau.

Paris-Saclay SPRING is a key event that allows companies, investors, researchers and start-ups to meet and exchange ideas on five future-oriented themes: FoodTech, Mobility, Digital Technologies, GreenTech and Health-Biotech.

The tempo of the two days will be given by rich programming. Conferences, B2B meetings, keynotes, innovation villages, start-up pitch contest, and more will take place on Thursday, May 12. Visitors will also be able to meet members of the Saclay Core Team, HR teams to guide young students on career prospects at Servier, our partner Biolabs for the Incubator section, as well as the Group’s ambassadors in the dedicated booth. Friday, May 13 will be dedicated to the Innovation Track, with four visits to the Institute scheduled with start-ups, students and large companies. This will be an opportunity to present our new institute and showcase our influence in terms of innovation.

Servier will be taking part in three of the program’s highlights

Fabien Schmidlin, Global Head of Translational Medicine at Servier, and Angelo Paci, Head of the Pharmacology Unit at the Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute will speak at the roundtable on translational medicine “From Science to Patient” on Thursday, May 12 from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.

Olivier Nosjean, Director of Open Innovation and Scientific Affairs, will be a member of the “Spring 50” pitch contest jury, which aims to highlight 50 start-ups that are representative of business creation dynamics in the Paris-Saclay region. The pitch contest awards a prize to the best start-up presentations.

The Servier Research and Development Institute in Paris-Saclay will open its doors for guided tours as part of the Innovation Track on Friday, May 13.

“For Servier, being associated with the event is of course an opportunity to raise our profile as a start-up partner, and a future stakeholder in support of these young innovative companies with the incubator of our R&D site in Paris-Saclay. Being part of the pitch contest jury is a great opportunity to experience first-hand the emulation that arises during this type of event,” explains Olivier Nosjean, Director of Open Innovation and Scientific Affairs.

A high potential scientific and technological innovation ecosystem, Paris-Saclay brings together key players in research, industry and leading start-ups. As home to the École Polytechnique, the École Normale Supérieure, and the Paris-Saclay University, it is also a place of academic excellence.

In 2023, 1,500 Servier employees will join this unique place of interdisciplinary innovation, ranked among the world’s top eight innovation clusters, which will enable the Group to meet the challenge of therapeutic progress for the benefit of patients. They will be joining a scientific center of excellence that in a few years’ time will bring together nearly 25% of French scientific research.
