An innovative initiative led by Servier Canada to help hypertensive patients

Our Canadian subsidiary “Servier Canada” continues to pursue its patient-centric approach with the launch of a campaign to raise awareness about hypertension on October 2017. The initiative, in partnership with Hypertension Canada, provides patients with therapeutic solutions that go beyond the use of medicines alone. The website getdownbp.ca and the related Facebook page are aimed at anyone dealing with high blood pressure. Both are designed to create a more tight-knit community gathering patients of all ages and backgrounds through a fun, interactive approach to keep blood pressure in check.

“In Canada, more than one million hypertensive patients take Servier drugs every day,” explains David Guay, Hypertension Product Manager at Servier Canada. “In creating an online community and mobile app to keep blood pressure in check through a fun, interactive approach, we have continued to innovate and once again demonstrated our commitment to a patient-centric approach.”

Available in English and French, the online resources include advice, best practices and suggested activities to improve health and provide patients with daily support in tracking the disease through an educational, informal approach.
