Cardiology: Servier awards its Research Fellowship to a young European researcher

The International Society for Heart Research-European Section (ISHR-ES)/Servier Research Fellowship is aimed at fostering European cardiovascular research integration. A €30 000 grant is offered every year by Servier in partnership with the ISHR-ES to support a cardiovascular research project within a European research group for a period of up to 1 year.

The 2019 ISHR-ES/Servier Research Fellowship has been awarded to Dr. Nicola Pianca (Milan, Italy) during the 2019 ISHR World Congress in Beijing, China.

The ISHR-ES/Servier Research Fellowship has been awarded since 2001. From 2013 to 2018, the winners were Alessandra Ghigo (Turin, Italy), Alicia D’Souza (Manchester, United Kingdom), Pietro Ameri (Genova, Italy), Hector Cabrera-Fuentes (Giessen, Germany), Vasco Sequeria Oliveira (Porto, Portugal) and Francesca Bortolotti (Trieste, Italy).

Applicants should be 35 years of age or less. Applicants must have received their PhD between December 2016 and December 2019 and be a paid ISHR-ES member at time of application deadline. The planned research project is to be completed within one year and should be presented at the ISHR-ES-2020 Meeting (June 30 – July 3, 2020, Turin, Italy).
