A global campaign “#TakeYourMedicine”
While awareness is the first step, long-term control depends on what happens after diagnosis. Consistently taking medication, regular follow-up appointments, and healthy lifestyle habits can help patients stay on track and achieve better control over time.
Someone is considered “nonadherent” if they comply with less than 80% of their prescribed treatment plan.1
Across social media – Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and Threads – #BecauseISaySo #TakeControl and #TakeYourMedicine have a strong and consistent campaign presence, amplifying key messages around awareness, action, and long-term health management.
Designed for patients and health care professionals, the campaign uses a range of communication materials, including videos, animated visuals, brochures, and posters to provide practical support and guidance on improving treatment adherence. The message is simple: small daily actions can contribute to meaningful long-term health benefits. #BecauseISaySo #TakeYourMedicine is endorsed by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and has been developed in close collaboration with patients.

Resolving the adherence issue constitutes an unmet medical need,4 and this is why Servier places particular emphasis on 3 key areas:
