From awareness to action: “Legs First. Every Day.”
This year, the #LegsFirst campaign’s goal is beyond informing people about leg health: it is about to help them build small, repeated habits that support prevention, early recognition, and timely medical consultation. #LegsFirst encourages daily micro-actions, especially to: move more during the day, take short breaks from sitting, elevate their legs, stretch, pay attention to recurring symptoms, complete a self-check, or seek medical advice when signs persist.
The campaign message is simple: “Listen to your legs. Act early. Stay consistent.”
The campaign is live on social media platforms during the summer.
Why leg health matters
Chronic Venous Disease is often progressive². Its symptoms may appear gradually and can easily be normalized as part of a busy lifestyle, long working days, travel, ageing, or standing or sitting for extended periods.

That is why #LegsFirst encourages people to pay attention to what their legs may be telling them. A feeling of heaviness, swelling, pain, discomfort, visible veins, or recurring symptoms should not be ignored. The campaign aims to empower individuals to recognize early signs, seek reliable information, and speak with a healthcare professional when symptoms persist.
The long-term goal is clear: reduce undiagnosed cases, improve patient outcomes, and establish leg health as a consistent health priority.
