At Servier, we are dedicated to elevating the patient’s voice. Two oncology projects have been carried out by teams from our Greek subsidiary, Servier Hellas. Focus on “A taste of life” and “MyComeback@Work”.
A taste of life: against cancer, an artistic and holistic initiative to support patients
“A taste of life” is a movement launched by our teams in Greece dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the resilience of those living with cancer. It includes a book, a documentary film, and an exhibition, all designed to share patient stories. Supported by patient associations, the book features 20 personal stories, while the documentary highlights seven individuals, offering a deeper look into their journeys.
The Servier Hellas teams engaged all audiences to give even more impact to their project. It resulted in a stakeholder event with health care professionals, patient associations, government representatives, and partners. The film was also screened at the Hellenic Cancer Federation’s 9th annual conference.
The project launched a dedicated website, atasteoflife, on February 4, 2025—World Cancer Day. The launch date aligns with the 2025-2027 Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) campaign, “United by Unique”, emphasizing placing people at the center of care.
The project’s excellence has been recognized with an Honorable Mention for Documentary Acting at the 18th London Greek Film Festival 2024 and the 1st Prize in the International Feature Documentary Competition at the 13th Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF).
MyComeback@Work: supporting patients’ return to normalcy
For a cancer patient, returning to work represents a strong challenge. The “MyComeback@Work” program was designed for and with metastatic colorectal cancer patients. The Servier Hellas teams set out to answer the question “How to navigate themselves back at work after diagnosis?” The project features omnichannel activities bringing together relevant stakeholders with proven expertise on this topic, such as oncologists, medical societies, occupational physicians, patient associations, and eventually the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour in Greece.
“We soon got a real case of a patient, who both he and his employer benefited mutually from the guidance they received in the program. We realized how meaningful this project was. That’s what our teams work for every day.”
