OUR COMMITMENTS

Compliance guides everything we do and the way we do it – day in, day out. Beyond complying with legislation, regulations and other industry codes, we strive to bolster our compliance program regularly by allocating ever-more resources and means, strengthening our anti-corruption system, and integrating compliance into our risk management strategy.

Focus

The Servier compliance program encourages all employees to behave in an exemplary manner. It enables us to achieve our strategic objectives with integrity.

Two fundamental reference documents

All Servier Group employees pledge to uphold compliance day in and day out, committing to abide by the Code of Conduct, a reference guide developed as part of the Group’s Ethics Charter.

COMPLIANCE

Ethics Charter

Ethics involve thought and action. In our Ethical Charter we have united the principles that guide our ways of being and doing in relation to those with whom we interact.

COMPLIANCE

Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct forms part of Servier’s Ethical Charter. It defines the guidelines common to the Servier Group and applicable to all employees and all persons working for Servier or in its name.

COMPLIANCE

Ethics hotline

Employees can communicate concerns of ethical nature through Servier’s Ethics Line.

Ethics hotline

The Servier Group encourages open, considerate dialogue within the company. To this end, it provides employees and third parties with an ethics hotline that allows them to report any behavior or practice that goes against the Ethics Charter, the Code of Conduct, internal standards, or applicable laws and regulations.

Our whistleblowing system is based on the principles of:

  • respect for anonymity;
  • confidentiality;
  • protection of personal data;
  • protection against retaliation.

Servier ensures the integrity and confidentiality of reports at all stages of the processing process. Even if the allegations prove to be false, no retaliation is tolerated against those who have used this mechanism in good faith.

Interactions with stakeholders

Our commitment to ethics also extends to our suppliers and partners, who are expected to act in accordance with applicable regulations and our ethical principles, particularly our Code of Conduct and Ethics Charter.

Furthermore, we engage in transparent, honest and regular dialogue with our stakeholders in the health sector. We do this, first and foremost for patients, because

improving care and quality of life remains our guiding light. And when it comes to driving change and progress in our industry, we are on the front line.

A set of guidelines has been drawn up to structure responsible relationships with our stakeholders and keep such activities in check. These guidelines apply to all Servier employees and third parties that represent the Group, in every country in which it operates.

Our commitment to transparency

Healthcare professionals and companies are working together to improve patient access to new therapeutic solutions. These collaborations cover a very broad scope. For the Servier Group, they can pertain to:

  • Defining future research programs based on expertise from healthcare professionals, by better identifying patients’ needs.
  • Better understanding the use of a medicine in real-life conditions so that the medical information can be updated.

In order to contribute to better comprehend partnerships with the medical community and their necessity, in compliance with applicable codes (EFPIA, IFPMA), pharmaceutical companies have committed to publishing their interactions with healthcare professionals and organizations, as well as with patient organizations.
