Servier and Biolabs Global, a world-renowned US developer and operator of premium co-working laboratories, have entered into a service agreement to manage Servier’s start-up incubator located in the future Servier R&D Institute in Paris-Saclay due to open in 2023.
Through this incubator, Servier aims at sharing knowledge and expertise between its teams (up to 1,500 researchers) and those of the hosted start-ups, young and innovative companies in the health care sector. Indeed, Servier’s teams will be able to take advantage of the best science and talent in order to accelerate research and the availability of new therapeutic solutions.

A unique place for innovation in life sciences
The Servier R&D Institute’s start-up incubator is an initiative that illustrates the transformation of R&D initiated by the Group, to make it more efficient and more patient-centered. The most innovative start-ups in the field of health care will have the opportunity to develop their projects independently, but also to share their expertise with Servier teams to create and benefit from a collaborative dynamic.
Spanning 1,850 m2, the co-working laboratory has been designed with a capacity for approximately 20 companies with space for over 100 scientists. Admission to the Center will be through an application and selection process managed by BioLabs. The application process will be opened in Summer 2022.
BioLabs will oversee the day-to-day management of the site, the provision of supplies, services, and equipment, as well as the practical support of events and programming specific to the interests of life science start-ups.
