Spotlight on Harmonix: Addressing an unmet need in central nervous system diseases

Harmonix stands out for its commitment to filling a critical medical need in the treatment of central nervous system diseases. A major obstacle hindering the treatment of these diseases is the blood-brain barrier (BBB), which blocks 98% of molecules, including gene therapies, from reaching the brain. Gene therapy targets genetic abnormalities at their source, offering immense potential for treating diseases previously considered incurable. Harmonix is tackling this challenge head-on through the development of innovative solutions to deliver these therapies to the central nervous system, bringing hope for a healthier future.

This award grants the winning startup one year of residency at Spartners, the startup incubator housed within our R&D Institute in Paris-Saclay. The initiative is designed to support and drive forward promising life sciences projects, providing the winning start-up with resources, mentoring, and access to a network of industry experts.

Unique in France, Spartners by Servier & BioLabs is an independent start-up incubator hosted by our R&D Institute in Paris-Saclay.
