An important step in neurology
Epileptic and developmental encephalopathy (EDE) is a rare and severe disease that manifests in childhood. The Servier Group is conducting a Phase Ib/II clinical study in France in this rare form of childhood epilepsy. An important step in our commitment to rare neurological diseases!
“The authorization to conduct this clinical study in childhood epilepsy in France is a marker of scientific innovation towards clinical development. It represents a crucial step in the development of our therapeutic area in neurology.”
Developmental epileptic encephalopathies are characterized by frequent and treatment-resistant seizures, as well as developmental delay and intellectual disability. Each patient presents a unique spectrum of symptoms, which makes diagnosis and therapeutic management particularly complex.
