Servier’s response to the war in Ukraine (as of 13/11/23)

Servier is deeply saddened by the loss of life and the destruction caused by the war in Ukraine. Servier condemns this war and calls for a prompt return to peace. All our thoughts go out to the people affected by this brutal, tragic situation, starting with our Ukrainian colleagues and their families.

We are adjusting to this constantly-evolving situation and taking action within the confines of international law.

As a health care player whose vocation is to improve and save the lives of patients, Servier is responsible for ensuring that medicines remain available to patients wherever they are.
We have applied the following measures:

  • We have suspended all expenditures unrelated to our medicines, which are vital to meeting patients’ essential needs in Russia and Belarus.
  • We have put new clinical trials in Russia and Belarus on standby, as well as recruitment of patients for ongoing trials. We are continuing to provide the therapeutic units necessary for patients previously enrolled in clinical trials.

In addition, in line with the Servier Group’s mission and values:

  • We actively support our employees in Ukraine, particularly through rehousing assistance.
  • We make significant contributions to the humanitarian aid intended for the Ukrainian people. For example, the Servier Group has made in-kind donations of medicine and emergency kits and substantial monetary donations since the start of the conflict. Other initiatives are in progress.

It is our hope that the war in Ukraine and the suffering of the Ukrainian population will come to an end quickly.
