Servier reaches a key milestone in Russia
On March 27, 2017, Servier Russia officially unveiled its new headquarters in Moscow during a ceremony attended by Olivier Laureau. This celebration was also the opportunity to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Servier’s presence in Russia and 10 years of operations at the Sophyno production plant.
Servier Russia is among the top 10 companies on the Russian pharmaceutical market, the n°3 pharmaceutical group with Egis operations, and the Group’s second largest subsidiary in term of revenue. “Servier Russia now shows solid results in line with the commitment it has shown since the beginning,” says Jérôme Gavet, Managing Director of the Eurasian Economic Union.
In 2014, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan came together to form the Eurasian Economic Union, which will, as Jérôme Gavet explains, “give birth to a real common market for medicines, introducing free circulation and streamlined regulatory processes with standard marketing authorization by 2025”.
To seize these opportunities, Servier has established a Moscow-based platform to coordinate promotion, production and research activities for all countries in the region. The goal is to encourage a cross-functional approach that will make the subsidiary more agile and responsive in Russia while supporting the roll out of Servier’s business in other countries.
