Five Chinese researchers receive awards jointly from Servier and the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association


Yearly, over the last twenty years, Servier and the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) have selected 5 Chinese researchers to receive an award. The CPA is a professional association that brings together specialists in medicinal chemistry. It contributes to acknowledging this profession in China, and sees to providing encounters, training sessions and debates around innovation.


Created by Pr. Paul M. Vanhoutte and Dr. Pierre Renard, this reward is intended to highlight research carried out in China which plays an important role in scientific training in China. It now has about one hundred Chinese award winners.

On the occasion of this 20th anniversary, Servier’s President Olivier Laureau, intervened during the ceremony at the China National Convention Center during the CPA Annual Conference. During their speeches, the CPA President and Olivier Laureau underlined the importance of the scientific collaboration between China and western countries, and the pioneer role played in this field by Servier for the CPA/Servier Prize.
