06/08/2015

Since 2003, SERVIER has collaborated with the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) to encourage research on cardiovascular projects.

The SERVIER Research Grant in Hypertension is awarded every 2 years for a research proposal in the field of hypertension and related diseases, with a focus on end-organ damage, surrogate markers, and biomarkers. The selection is made by a committee appointed by the ESH, composed of internationally renowned experts in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases.

In 2015, the SERVIER Research Grant in Hypertension (worth € 30 000 over 2 years) was awarded on June 14 at the award ceremony of the 25th ESH Congress in Milan (Italy), by Ms Laurence Alliot, Deputy Managing Director, Worldwide Medical Strategy at SERVIER, to Mr Sébastien Foulquier from the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands), for his outstanding research project: “From hypertension to neurodegeneration: the microglial culprit.”

For the next Grant, applications should be submitted no later than January 31, 2017. PhDs or MDs under 45 years of age on July 1 in the year of the award may apply.
