ISHR-ES – Servier Research Fellowship 2016 awarded to Dr Hector Cabrera-Fuentes

The 2016 ISHR-ES/Servier Research Fellowship was awarded to Dr Hector Cabrera-Fuentes (Giessen, Germany) during the ISHR World Congress meeting in Buenos Aires (Argentina) which took place from April 18th to 21st, 2016.

Dr Cabrera-Fuentes submitted a project “Reducing myocardial infarction size using TR47-peptide, a biased agonist peptide for protease activated receptor-1” which will be carried out in Spain at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain).

The International Society for Heart Research-European Section (ISHR-ES)/Servier Research Fellowship is aimed at fostering the integration of European cardiovascular research. A 20 000 € grant is offered every year by Servier in partnership with the ISHR-ES to support a cardiovascular research project within a European research  group for a period of up to 1 year.

Eligibility: applicants should be 35 years of age or less, have obtained their PhD or equivalent graduation between February 1st, 2014 and the application deadline, and be ISHR-ES members at the time of the application deadline, i.e. January 31, 2017.

The planned research project is to be completed within one year and should be presented at the 34th Meeting of the European Section of ISHR (July 24‐27, 2017, Hamburg, Germany).
